Game Making

Game making needn’t stay just in the domain of the IPT class.  Game making can be incorporated into history, english, maths, languages and so on.

It is a proven fact that students find games engaging and rewarding so why not use them to do the same for education as they are doing for leasure time.

Of course there are many fantastic educatonal games that can be incorporated into a class but getting them to design and build the first level of a game will build communication skills, team work, and also cement the concepts of what is being learnt.

The learning place has an area dedicated to this topic: http://www.learningplace.com.au/defaulteqa2.asp?orgid=35&suborgid=614

Here is a list game making software, where to get it and some resources from the learning place which I have added to.

What is best, is the fact that Game Maker can be used free of charge.
